Dawson's First Day of "School"
Ok, so it's not really school.. But I think that makes him feel a little bit better about it!! He was really excited when I told him on Monday that he was going to get to play with a lot of other kids.. He was ready to go right then!! Tuesday morning was a whole other story!! He didn't want to go, he didn't feel good... You know all of the things that I used to tell my mom when I didn't want to go to school...Dawson and I have stayed together every single day since he was about 5 or 6 months old... I thought that it would be good for him to go and be with someone other than David and I. And also give me a little break!!
I dropped him off at about 10.. I stayed a few minutes filling out registration.. He went outside and started playing with all of the other kids.. He had some friends that he knew, and he just loves Austin, so I thought that he would be fine!!
I went to my daddy's to clean up his "bachelor pad" and thought that would also be a good occupier for my heart and mind... I only called to check on him twice!! I was quiet proud of myself!! (gahlee, he's my baby, I wanted to call every 5 minutes!!) They said that he'd cried a little but that he was okay!! I know all of the ladies that run the daycare, so I never "worried" about him.. I knew that he was in good hands!!
I went to pick him up at 2, and all of the kids were taking their naps... But not D... They said that he was the first one to go to sleep... But his little eyes were puffy and he was sobbing.... It broke my heart.....
I said "Dawson why are you crying?" he said "momma my thought you wuden neva comin back to get me!!" That made me want to cry!! But he told Ms. Kathy and Ms. Martha that he enjoyed it and that he'd come back another day... So I encouraged him as much as I could...
I told him how proud I was that he went to school... And how only big boys went to school... He said that he had a good time, and that he liked it... For a mile down the road...
After that, he quickly changed him mind... He said that he wasn't ever going back there!! He said that he liked playing with the kids, but he didn't want to go back!! (hehe!! He can't help it he loves him mommy so much!!) But I wish he wouldn't worry about me so much, I know that he could have a wonderful time!!
So that night I was telling David all about it... I was telling him about filling out the paperwork and how if they get into trouble they have timeout.. I turned around and looked at Dawson, who until this time had not said a word to me about this...
Me: "D, did you have to sit in time out today?"
Dawson: "Yes, mam."
Me: laughing and looking at David like WHAT?? Not that I was upset because they made him sit in timeout or anything, just that he had talked all about daycare since we'd been home and never mentioned getting in trouble... I said "Why did you have to sit in timeout??"
Dawson: "So I can undustand"
Me: (trying not to laugh profusely) "what did you need to understand?"
Dawson: "that I was cryin!!"
David and I fell out!! I know that they had to be tired of listening to him squall!! He's used to sitting in the ugly chair/time out at home so it wasn't anything new.. But I always tell him how disappointed I am that he's having to sit in the ugly chair, so he didn't want me to know...
When we finally stopped laughing he said "they just make me sit in that char till I quit cryin!!"
I said "Boo, why were you crying??" He said, "cause I just wanted ju momma"!!! Now you gotta love that!! My heart melted...
So now I've gotta figure out how to get him back in there next time... It's not going to be an everyday thing, but I don't think that it hurt him at all.. I just wish that he would let himself have a good time and enjoy all of the other children!!
I took these pictures before we left home.. He looked like such a big boy!! He was trying to convince me that he needed to go with me to run errands and not go to school the whole time that I was snapping away!!
Anyone with any "nice" advice, please feel free to enlighten me!!;)

A Very Stinky Situation with Incriminating Photos
Dawson has to go to the bathroom first thing in the morning and take care of a little business. He's sitting on the pot and I'm standing at the door... He has a miniature International tractor playing with it, and in a split second...... The tractor is gone... Yep, that's right, in the pot!! He said "oh no, momma it was an accident"!!So he gets up and I look and can see the back tractor wheels, along with poop, in the pot... I think, okay, no problem... Just get it out!!
Yeah right, lots easier said than done!! The tractor is stuck... So I think, okay, it was Dawson's idea to play with the tractor while taking a dump... It's his job to get his tractor out of his dump.... He starts screaming... "I'm gonna get poo poo on my hands"!!!! I encouraged him, ensuring that he can wash his hands afterwards and he finally sticks his hand in there.. Unfortunately instead of getting the tractor out.. He manages to push it deeper...
Now while he's screaming his head of "momma, I understand now!! I'm not gonna play with tractors on the pot no more wwwwwaaaaaaa!!!! I'm doubled over laughing my head off because he's acting a fool!! I had to run and get the camera for this one!!
I know your thinking how hard can it be to get a tractor out of the toilet... It's freaking hard... So I try and call David... As I do in all catastrophe's.. Of course he doesn't have his phone with him.. So I call Uncle Keith, I think he thought that I was crying when I asked if David was with him, so I had to tell him why I was laughing profusely...
So I got D some clothes on and the whole time he's asking "Momma.. Is daddy gonna whoop my butt??" I told him no, because it was just an accident.. But that he better not be playing with toys while pooping anymore... He starts crying again "I understand momma, I'm not gonna play with tractors on the pot no more"!! I'm rolling in the floor, and he's telling me that it's not "thunny".. Remember all of his f's are pronounced th!! hehe!!
When I get to the shop, I'm still laughing so hard that I can't even tell David what happened.. David was saying "what is wrong??" Dawson said " my dropped my tractor in the toilet..." David said "you did?" Dawson said "uh huh.." David said which tractor did you drop in the toilet?? Dawson said "that International, and I can't get it out!!!" I'm still laughing my butt off... David looks at me and I almost have my composure and he says, "what? Is there poop in there too??" I die again, and then he starts...
So Daddy comes home to the rescue.. Now we have a flushed pot and a wet International!!
Yuck, what a morning!!

My Favorite Things!!
We've had a wonderful weekend!! Beautiful weather.. Nice and windy here of course!! Nothing really exciting to blog about so instead I thought that I'd take this opportunity to share with you some of my favorite things used throughout my every day!! I've read other people's blogs that had this, and to me it's very interesting to see how everyone is different!! So I hope you enjoy!!I'll just start from the beginning...
As soon as my feet hit the floor, I have to pee... And then to the sink to brush my teeth!! I'd seen this advertising on TV for awhile, but was scared to try it... I'm a sucker for cinnamon toothpaste... But I saw it on Summer's site and she recommended it, said it was great... So I had to see for myself, and boy was she right... Colgate Whitening Expressions Lemon Ice... I love it!!
I'm not a coffee drinker.. But I do have to have my daily dose of caffeine, but in a different form... Oh yes, if you know me, you know that I'm such a tea head!! And only Lipton will do!!
I want it like syrup... Sweet as can be without being bitter... Three family size tea bags and three cups of sugar to a gallon... Yep... That's how it has to be...
I'm known for having a glass full everywhere that I go.. Don't leave home without it!!
We are Poptart lovers!! The mom, the dad and the boo, all have to have one to get going in the morning... I have my classic favorites, but this ranks at the top for me and Dawson.. StrawberryMilkshake!!! OMG, they are so yummy!! David's not crazy about it but he's not fond of sweets.. (I don't know what is wrong with that man!!) Dawson and I on the other hand... Well, let's just say like mother like son!!
My next addiction is sort of new... This started around Thanksgiving, and I can't break it off... Target sells them in a 325 count bag, and yeah, I've gotta have 2 every time that I go to Monroe!! Wintergreen Lifesavers... I really like the soft ones, but the hard ones are good too!! There aren't many calories, so that's a good thing... But D can't handle them because he says they are hot!! Which is a good thing since he's on a diet... (I know your wondering why I'm feeding him Poptarts on a diet... He's 3, and I can't take away EVERYTHING!!;) Gah, he's just a baby, and on a freaking diet... Have you ever heard of such??? He's just like his mommy and daddy... We all love to eat!! (you can look and tell!!)
Now I know that your getting ready for the summer, trying to get a tan and all of that good stuff.. I love a tan.. I think that everyone looks better with a little color... I've always LOVED laying out, and laying in the tanning bed... But this year, I'm turning over a new leaf... I'm getting older, and I'm starting to have a few fine lines around my eyes and forehead... So instead of baking in the sun just to fade as quickly as I tan, and risking skin cancer... I highly recommend Neutrogena Airbrush Sunless tanning spray in a can!! (David helps spray me down to avoid all of the streaks..) I've had quiet a few comments the past two days and I've only used it for the past 4 days... So I'd say that it works!!! And it don't cause cancer, that I know of yet!!
Of course, a sunless tan is still a little stinky... So my cure for that is after it's applied and soaked in for a few hours take a bath, duh... And then cover it up with Live by J.Lo!! Not only does it smell good... The bottle is so cute!! I love the scent... To me, it's not too strong.. It smells clean and fresh!!
I have a few other things that I'll try and share later... But right now, I think I'll go and catch some Zzzz's!!
Hope you all have a great week!!

We have Bunko tonight, So of course I'll have my camera to post new pictures!! Dawson is going to stay with my momma and Punky, so everyone pray that he don't act a fool!!;)
David's family reunion is tomorrow, I'll try and get some pictures of that too!!
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!!

"Trying" to Answer Questions
Since my papaw died the end of January, Dawson has lots of questions... He is so smart, I usually have a really hard time answering.. Here is a few of our conversations... Usually he just asks out of the blue...
Dawson: "Momma do you remember someone went to live with Jesus?"
Me: "What are you talking about, D?"
Dawson:: "Papaw Wood... He had to go and live with Jesus didn't he momma??"
Me: "He sure did.."
Dawson: "Why"
Me: "Because God needed him to come and live with him and Jesus in Heaven"
Dawson: "Where's Heaven? Waaaaayyy up in the sky??"
Me: "Yep"
Dawson: "Can we go see him?"
Me: "When God is ready for us to come and see him, he'll call us to come to Heaven."
Dawson: "Let's go up there Momma.."
Me: "We can't until God calls us to come to Heaven, when we get there, we can't come back here to our house.."
Dawson: "I'll just get all of these ladders around here and climb up there and then just climb right back down to you momma!!"
Another conversation.....
Dawson: "I want to call Papaw Wood.."
Me: "Remember Papaw's not at home anymore, he had to go and live with Jesus in Heaven."
Dawson: "Let's just call him at Jesus' house!!"
Me: "Jesus don't have a phone, when you want to talk to Papaw, you just have to pray.."
Another conversation....
Dawson: "Do you remember somebody had to go live with Jesus?"
Me: "Yep!"
Dawson: "Papaw Wood did, didn't he momma?"
Me: "Yes, sir he sure did!"
Dawson: "How did he get to heaven?"
Me: "God just told him, "Papaw Wood, your job on Earth is done.. Now you get to come and live with me in Heaven.."
Dawson: "Why didn't he take his truck?? He left it at Conk's house.."
Me: "When you go to Heaven you don't need your truck, all you need is your heart!!"
Another conversations....
Dawson: "Do you remember somebody went to live with Jesus?"
Me: "Yeah"
Dawson: "Papaw Wood went to Heaven didn't he momma?"
Me: "He sure did.."
Dawson: "I don't want to go to Heaven.."
Me: "Yes you do, one day.. It's really pretty there, and you can have fun all day long... And play outside all day long, it's a lot of fun!!"
Dawson: "Do they have candy there?"
Me; uhhhhh "Yeah, they have candy there.."
Dawson: "Okay, I want to go to Heaven!!"
Another conversations between Dawson and Granny... She heard him in the back seat mumbling about something...
Granny: "What are you back there talking about?"
Dawson: "Oh, I'm just praying.."
Granny: "What are you praying for?"
Dawson: "I'm just praying for everybody to be good.."
Granny: "Oh..."
Dawson: "And did you know that my Papaw Wood had to go and live with Jesus way up in the sky and my momma tells me that we can't call him on the phone anymore now we just have to pray when we want to talk to him!!"
I just amazes me at the questions that he asks and the things that he remembers... I'm sure he misses the phone calls that we used to get from Papaw everyday... But he hasn't forgotten!! And he usually asks me one of the many questions that he has, everyday... If not everyday, every other day!!
If anyone has any advice that they can give me about how to make this easier for him to understand.... PLEASE enlighten me!! I'm all out of answers that I feel like he's ready for right now!!!

Dawson's 3rd Birthday
I can't believe that my baby is already three years old... It seems just like yesterday he was born.. He was such a beautiful baby and he's growing into a beautiful-I mean- handsome young man!! David and I are so proud of him, he's such a joy to us!! Today is his actual birthday, but we celebrated yesterday with a party!!We had a very busy weekend... Saturday at 2:00 we had his party at the park... Left there took all of his goodies home, unloaded, cleaned up and headed to Mamaw Woodie's birthday party in Crossett... Left there went and took paw paw home and headed to Ginger's for the monthly fight night... We finally got home around 1:00am!!! Boy we are all tired, but had so much fun!!
Wow!! What a beautiful day it was, just perfect for a party at the park!! We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family to help make Dawson's 3rd birthday party a HUGE success!! And when I say huge, I'm not exaggerating.... There were over 80 people attending and I hope that in the end I was able to say hello to each and everyone and let them all know how much we appreciate them all being there!! Aunt I mean Uncle Olivia (as D calls her) even made a surprise visit.. Driving over six hours just for the party!! The kids had lots of fun riding on the choo choo train, playing on the big slide, and the little slide and of course swinging!!
I think next year we may try and have two small parties so that Dawson is not so overwhelmed with all of the people and gifts!! Bless his heart I think it took him about an hour to open everything!! Of course he was very happy with all of his goodies... But you know Dawson, there was work to be done.... And driving that choo choo was at the top of his list!!
If you have a child that is interested in Thomas or trains in general... Call Bill Marshall!! He is excellent with the children and had a big time taking the kids all around the park!! He started about 1:30 and never shut down until after 4:00!! Thanks so much Mr. Bill!!
All of the kids were busy chasing the train around and waiting for a seat to ride in.. Some finally took a break just long enough for some yummy birthday cake and ice cream!! I have lots of pictures that I'm going to let tell the rest of the story of the party!!
Then on to mamaw's party at Western Sizzler... Yucky, I don't know what is going on with this place, but it's really gone down in the past few years... The buffet looked awful... I thought that I'd just get the catfish plate... Nope they were out...So I ordered shrimp... Wrong thing to do... I tried my best to eat as much as I could.... Dawson wanted a salad... Have you ever seen a salad bar with no croutons or shredded cheese????? Gah....
Other than the food being funky, we had a blast seeing all of the family!! My daddy rode with us and wasn't feeling good so on the way back we stopped by Wal-Mart to get him something for his cold... Dawson wanted to go in with me.. So here we go... I got to the checkout and the lady said "mam to do you want him to have this energy drink??" I looked and just saw the green bottle and thought that it was a Sprite... Nope, it was an energy drink... So I quickly exchanged it for a Sierra Mist and took off.. We got to the car and Dawson said "momma where is my whiskey??" I said "What????" "my whiskey", he said... I'm like "what are you talking about?".... He said "you left it in Wal Mart!!" Then it hit me... That's what David calls the energy drink.... And my child thinks that he drinks whiskey... So if you ever hear him say that... I'm really not a bad parent and allow my child to drink whiskey... My husband is just a big kid himself and sees no problem with telling him that!! He's so silly!!
After dropping daddy off we were off to Ginger's for fight night!! We always have fun... It used to be just a guy thing... But we called a stop to that a few months ago and I think they even like it better now... I mean, we always make sure that they have something to eat and drink and we sit in one room and have our monthly "hen party", while they are in the living room hollering "OH EWE OH OH!!"
Ginger, Keri, and Crystal.... I had a really good time visiting and laughing!!! Crystal, I got home and started thinking about the Texas trip and started laughing again... I could listen to that story over and over and never get tired of it!!!!
So needless to say.... A busy weekend for us!! But it was worth it!! Very much fun filled with family and good friends... Who could ask for more??? Enjoy the pictures and have a great week!!
Ginger took this perfect picture!! Dawson waited for everyone to stop singing and blew all three of his candles out!! He had so much fun at his party!!
This was his cake... I was so happy with the design being since Cinda is about to have a baby I had to settle with this instead of a "train" mold cake!! I thought that it turned out perfect... And we only had a little corner left after everyone was gone!!
This is Dawson's plate when he was finished... As you see all he wanted was the ICING of Thomas' eye!!
The slide was a big big hit... There was a steady line all day!! Alec, Brice and Case had a lot of fun!!
Tristan riding with Emma and Austin... I think that's Lainee and Jaxon in the caboose.. And D in the black cart!!
Julie, Keri and Crystal I appreciate you girls coming for the party and bringing your kids!! I think the women always like to get together and visit while the kids play!!;)
Dawson and Brayden in the train... Poor little Brayden he had no room with D reaching over him to ring the bell!! How do you like that had pulled down over his eyes??

Me & My Daddy
There hasn't been much happening around here this week to blog about except getting ready for my baby's 3rd birthday party tomorrow!! It doesn't seem real!! He's so special to me, he's been such a blessing to our whole family!!
Earlier this week our family got together for a supper because one of my cousin's is going back over seas.. This is a picture of me and my daddy... All of my childhood we always had a really rocky relationship... I think because there were too many "go betweens"... But when my son was born, my daddy was there.. And ever since then, not a day has passed that we don't talk on the phone at least once sometimes three or four times.. If a few days go by and he hasn't seen Dawson.. He will stop what he is doing and come by for at least a minute and get some hugs and kisses!!
Last week Dawson woke up from his nap and said "call my paw paw and tell him to come and pick me up"... I told him that he could call and tell him to come and get him.. So he did... If you know my dad, he's always been the type that if he says that he's on his way it could be an hour or dark thirty before he gets there.. But when Dawson called him, he was here to get him in 15 minutes... I love him so much!! And I know that he loves me too.. Our relationship now means so much to the both of us!!
Later I'll have to upload the before and after pictures of my new haircut, when it gets done!! I think it's going to be dramatic!! yay!! I'm so excited!! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!! I'll have birthday pictures after tomorrow!!
