Happy 4th Birthday Dawson!!
I can't believe that my little man is four years old!!!!!! Gah, it seems like yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital... Time is flying!!!This year was a little hectic around his birthday with the new baby... So we decided to have a family party and a play group party separate with just a few of his friends!! I sure couldn't have done any of it without the help of David, Granny, Olivia, and especially Amanda!!We started on Saturday night the 3rd with a family party at our house... David grilled hamburgers and we had chips and dip...
Granny, Uncle Olivia and I made homemade cupcakes that were VERY yummy!! Olivia made a much needed boo boo and doubled the recipe of cupcakes so we did have plenty... But we couldn't have done the masterpiece without each and everyone of them, so it worked out perfect!!
Now I'm sure that you'll never believe that this....Could turn into this!!!! It was Olivia's idea to try and make a tractor out of the cupcakes since the birthday theme was, of course, John Deere... OMG, I would've never thought that it would have turned out so freaking cute!! Amanda was the mastermind of the whole pattern!! She done a great job!!
Dawson loved them!! He thought it was the coolest thing!! And everyone said they were delicious!! My finishing touch with the dust buster to get rid of all of the extra sprinkles just made the table!! hehe!!
Amanda and Victoria came and helped do some decorating!! It looked like John Deere came in a threw up all over the kitchen and living room!! But it was a very fun party!!
My mom, aka Conk, got him a bicycle!! He was so proud!! He can ride really good! I took him to the park last week with it. He rode all around the nature trail as I strolled Daityn Blair!! We've gotta do that more often!! We had so much fun!!Granny got him the only thing that he asked for... A Lightning Fishing Rod!!! That's all I've heard since Christmas... "Momma, I wanna lighten thishing rod!!" So of course he was all smiles to go to Granny's and go fishing!!The family party was a big hit!! He had a ball!! David and I got him a karaoke machine that has a video camera with it that shows him on TV... That was also a big hit... Of course he had to entertain his guests with this!On Monday we had him another small party at McDonald's!! The kids of course had a blast playing in the playhouse and helping Dawson open his gifts!!Afterwards we all went to the park and zoo for cake!!
At the park the kids got to break the pinata that was full of all kinds of candy.. All the kids took a swing, and then it was back to Dawson who demolished the tractor pinata!!On Tuesday he wanted to know if we were going to have him another birthday party... I told him that I was partied out!!! But my baby had a ball while it lasted and we'll do it all over again next year just for him!!! I love you bunches, Dawson Glenn!! I'm glad you had a wonderful 4Th birthday!!!

My Babies!!
I can't believe that it's already been a month.. It's almost sad... But with all of the sleepless nights lately, I can't help but look forward to the six month mark!!Just thought that I would try and do a little catch up about the whole labor/delivery/come home/life after the second child!!
With Dawson I was put in the hospital and on the drip at 6:00 am on a Wednesday morning.. After finally dilating to complete around 9:00 pm, and pushing for 2 hours, he was still too big and I had to have a c-section... I remember being so emotional.. All I could do was cry... My worst fear during my pregnancy with him was having to have a cesarean... Then when it was all over and I finally came back to life, and to my senses... I was kind of disappointed that it wasn't any worse than it was... It really was a breeze..
Now don't get me wrong, I was by far not ready to run a marathon or anything... But it wasn't nearly as bad as I had imagined...
With Daityn Blair, it was awesome!! I went in on a Wednesday at 10:00am they prepared me for the surgery... All of my family was there with me and we were just hanging out and visiting... About 12:00 Dr. Lee came in the door and the nurses started running around and getting me ready wheeled me into the surgery room, and then it hit me.... I was really fixing to have another precious child!!!
I told the nurse that was wheeling me down the hall that I was a cry baby and I didn't know why I had yet to cry... She assured me that I would cry when I got into the surgery room, but to my surprise I didn't... I was so out of it when I had Dawson I didn't know where I was... So when they got me into the surgery room, I was so intrigued by the room itself, I still didn't cry... (I still have to ask about all of the freezer looking thingies in that room...)
They done my spinal and put me on the table, and the next thing that I know they are starting the whole process of removing my child from my body and I didn't know where my husband was... Finally they let him come in with me, and he was very interested in what was going on... Some of my close friends will remember the whole story about how he says when Dawson was born "Dr. Lee drew the line on Cara's belly and I cut Dawson out with my pocket knife"... When in fact the anesthesiologist could deal with me because he thought that David was going to pass out!!
Needless to say he didn't pass out either time!! He was right there with me, holding my hand the whole time!! And now we have two special children who are so smart, beautiful, and bright.. And they have a mom and a dad who love them both VERY much and only want the very best for them in everything that they will ever do!!
Back to the getting over the surgery part... With Dawson, I came straight home and got right back to doing my normal stuff within a day or two... But with Daityn I made the mistake of getting out of my hospital bed the night that I had her to get my drink off of the vanity that was about 4 foot from the side of my bed... OMG, ladies, don't do it!!!! I didn't think that I was ever going to get my fat butt back in that bed... And yeah, David was there... But he was sleeping so good, I just could wake him up... But if I had to do it all over again, he would me picking me up and putting me back in that bed...
So I think that kinda set me back just a little bit.. It took me a good 3 or 4 days to get back to moving again... And then I made the mistake of trying to sleep in my bed at home after being in the oh so comfy and easy to get out of reclining love seat rocker... Yep, I was set back another day or so.... But I'll tell ya... I done a WHOLE lot better than the girl that we saw in the pediatrician's office that had the baby on the same day that I did and two weeks later she was still walking around bent over and making her mom carry the baby... I put on my big girl panties and done well!! (even if I do say so myself!) Some people crack me up being such tits!!
We had a lot of help! My mom came and helped me after we came home, and she cooked me lunch and supper.. My mother in law was very good helping with the big brother, as he tried to abandon us... And she also brought us supper every night for about the first week and a half... I had friends to bring us food, and lots of visitors coming and going!!
Having a new baby is such a wonderful experience... Like I've said before, if it weren't for the humongous expense, I'd have a house full of children!!
Okay, enough of all of that stuff... I've got new pictures of the kiddos on my photobucket!! Check em out!! I was going to post some of Dawson's birthday but blogger is being a punk... I'll have to do it another day!!
Hope all is well with everyone out there!! And I hope that I didn't bore you too bad, but I wanted to jot this stuff down before I forget it for myself!!
